AUBURN SWIMMING 101

  • Do everything balanced
  • End sets with best technique
  • Maximum use of momentum - in and out of walls
  • Emphasize catch and set up of stroke - front quadrant
  • Core strength lasts longest ( this is your stomach area)
  • Breathing pattern - free: alternate sides
  • Don't be satisfied with your technique - always something to improve
  • Constantly explore minimizing resistance(streamline)
  • Lead the lane at least once a week.
  • Get out of the pool like an athlete
  • Take the harder route (stairs, walk don't drive, etc) I know this one is
    not hard for you guys.
  • Do preventative rehab work
  • Do extra warm down if you need it
  • Have and USE your water bottle
