AUBURN SWIMMING 101
- Do everything balanced
- End sets with best technique
- Maximum use of momentum - in and out of walls
- Emphasize catch and set up of stroke - front quadrant
- Core strength lasts longest ( this is your stomach area)
- Breathing pattern - free: alternate sides
- Don't be satisfied with your technique - always something to improve
- Constantly explore minimizing resistance(streamline)
- Lead the lane at least once a week.
- Get out of the pool like an athlete
- Take the harder route (stairs, walk don't drive, etc) I know this one is
not hard for you guys.
- Do preventative rehab work
- Do extra warm down if you need it
- Have and USE your water bottle
- I thought these were pretty good. I hope they help.
